The "HAUS (Houston Access to Urban Sustainability) Project" is Houston's first sustainable urban co-op project of it's kind. Founded in the fall of 2010, HAUS has generated a vibrant community of environmentally conscious forward thinking young professionals. The Rosalie house is the first HAUS of the project and is located in Midtown-Houston, Texas.
The mission of HAUS Project is to:
Provide affordable housing operated cooperatively by residents.
Provide greener, more sustainable lifestyle options.
Educate the general public about cooperative organizational principles and greener, more sustainable lifestyle options.
Assist other cooperative and sustainability efforts in the Houston region and elsewhere.
HAUS members are actively involved in the community though numerous organizations and community oriented projects.
