Transition Houston Hub November Meeting

Transition Houston meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at Christ the King Lutheran Church at the corner of Greenbriar and Rice Blvd. (near Rice Village).

This month, Karen Marshall, Metro's Director of Community Outreach, will help us learn how we can take advantage of Metro's transportation network to go car-free more often. Be informed--bring questions about upcoming projects, Metro's long-term plans, and Metro discounts to lower your fares. We'll also learn how to use the on-bus bike racks so we can hop, skip, ride, and roll to destinations all over Houston. We'll have a real transit bike rack at the meeting so we can all try it out. Bring your bike, if you'd like, to see precisely how it fits in the rack--we'll be pros in no time!

We'll also have updates on what is going on in our Action Groups (including field trips and classes) and Neighborhood Initiatives.

As is our tradition, the business program will end at 8:30 and the time for refreshments, conversation, and community will begin.

Parking: If the Church lot is full, parking is available in the parking lot of the Rice Village Animal Hospital just across Rice Blvd. on the northwest corner of Rice and Greenbriar. Another option is the Rice University parking lot across Greenbriar from the Church ($1). Bicycle parking is in the greenspace within the church parking lot.
